Hesiquio Marcos Cordova better known as JR was born on October 22, 1977 and was unexpectedly called to his resting place on June 1, 2022. Along with his girlfriend,  Virginia M. Serna. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM with roots in Jemez Pueblo, NM.
JR loved hunting, scouting, and being in nature. He was fascinated with Bigfoot and was always on the lookout for it. JR was a man of many talents and skills. “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” He liked going into our beautiful New Mexico wilderness and capturing the marvelous sights he witnessed to later paint them in the true Bob Ross style.
JR is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Cordova. He is survived by his father, Chico Cordova; siblings, Tony Toya Cordova, Esther and husband, Manuel Gallegos, Michael Cordova, and Bernadette Cordova. “Uncle Nunu” as he was known to his nieces and nephews, Angel and Monica Gallegos, John Paul, Dominic and Charles Ballejos, JJ, Brandon and Jordan Chavez; great nephews and niece, Pauly, Mary and Joey Ballejos, Manuel Gallegos, Charlie Ballejos.
JR was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered by all. A Visitation will be on Friday,  June 10, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Avenue SE.
