Vigil, Andrea "Andy" Barbara
Age 85, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born in Bernalillo, NM on July 28, 1936 and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She met the love of her life, Jose Vigil while working at Presbyterian Hospital. They married and raised their family in Albuquerque. Andrea was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed sewing and providing child care for many years. She devoted herself to children and family. Andrea enjoyed northern New Mexico music and enjoyed cooking for her family. We will miss her cooking and her homemade tortillas. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Vigil; her parents, David and Frances Baca; sisters, Betty Gabaldon, Dorothy Neighbors, Josie Archuleta and Frances Baca-Seabridges.
Andrea is survived by her children, Phillip Vigil, Angela Gonzales and husband, Matthew, Rudy Vigil; grandchildren,  Joshua Gonzales and Maya Vigil; great grandchildren, Noah Vigil Martinez, Nathaniel Gonzales, Malaya Gonzales, Lily Vigil Martinez, Liam Vigil Martinez and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 9:30-10:00 am with a Rosary will be recited from 10:00-10:30 am with a prayer service from 10:30-11:00 am and a reception to immediately follow at 11:00 am at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
