Vicente Guerra

Vicente Guerra, son of Ricardo and Yolanda Guerra, was born November 19, 1996 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2023 at 26 years of age. Vicente had a happy childhood, growing up in South Valley. He enjoyed music, playing the piano and guitar. He was an artistic boy, drawing and painting pictures. As a teenager, he played on a soccer team and enjoyed skateboarding. He had many friends, inviting them into his life to share, with enthusiasm, his accomplishments. His home was often open to them where they became part of the family.

As a family we remember Vicente frequently making breakfast for his little sister Lluvia when the rest of the family was not home. We remember him telling meaningful stories and always willing to share when we would ask. He enjoyed life on the edge, doing spontaneous things, like jumping over the 4th of July fireworks. As a young man, he put his heart into his job and became a successful welder in the construction industry, becoming foreman on his crew. In the summer of 2019, Vicente welcomed his first daughter, and a son soon followed. He was a proud dad and loved them both.

Those left to miss his smile and caring heart are his partner, Victoria; his daughter, Abilene; his son, Ricardo Vicente (Junior); his mother, Yolanda; two sisters, Marisela and Lluvia; one brother, Octavio; a niece and numerous uncles and aunts. He is preceded in death by his father Ricardo, two grandparents, and an uncle.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 2530 Blake Rd. SW with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM.
