Theresa M. Lucero

83, born into this world in Tucumcari NM on January 30th 1935, began her new life with the Lord in Heaven Thursday, February 22, 2018.

Theresa was a devoted wife and matriarch of her family. She spent all of her waking moments caring for, comforting, nourishing, feeding, cherishing, loving and praying for her family. They were her world. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an upstanding member of San Jose Community and a true woman of Christ. Strong in her faith in the Lord, she was a loving and generous woman who never hesitated to open her arms and her home to anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by many.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2012, her daughter, Lumar in 2016 and her son, Thomas in 1965. She is survived by her children, Charles, Kenlynn, Juan, Patty, Charlene, Jeff, Rick, Maria Socorro, Peter and Dora; her 27 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers at her funeral service will be, Diego Lucero, Christopher Garcia, Stephen Lucero, Charlie Lucero, Peter Lucero, Florentino Lucero, James Aragon, Elijah Griffin.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 to follow at Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW at 7:00 pm.

Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 9:00 am.

Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
