Born January 5, 1965 age 53, with her family by her side went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 13, 2018 after a long fight with metastatic breast cancer. Sofia was born to Jose Geronimo Urbina and Flora Urbina (Campos) in Juigalpa, Nicaragua, as a teenager she and her family immigrated to San Francisco. She worked in banking and insurance. Sofia was smart, very funny and a lighting rod. Sofia fought a long unfair battle against breast cancer since 2008 which metastasized in 2015. During her life, she loved animals and helped maintain her family farm in Nicaragua.

Sofia is survived by husband, Adrian Montoya; children, Ricardo, Alejandra and Giovana; sister, Ivonne and brothers, David, Misael, Lester, Jose, Daniel and Pablo.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, 2018, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels , Located on 8th Street and Iron. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 10:00 am, at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
