It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ryan Matthew Cordero. Ryan died on September 19th, 2026 as a result of injuries he sustained from an auto accident.

Ryan was born on November 1st, 1972 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Irene (Regensberg) Cordero and Tony Cordero. For over 20 years, he was a valued and dedicated employee at Advance Auto Parts. He enjoyed cooking and watching football and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid music lover. Ryan was a doting cat dad to his beloved Cesar.

Ryan is survived by his life partner of 29 years Marylou Ortiz, his sister Susan Martinez and her husband Rodney, his brother Kevin Cordero, and his sister Sharon Carbonneau and her husband Eric. 

Ryan was a loving, kind, and proud uncle to his nephews Samuel Martinez, Alex Cordero, Jacob Martinez, and Luc Carbonneau. He was a role model and a cherished friend to Marylou’s children, Simona Valdez, Joaquin Romero, and Miguel Romero.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother Irene and his father Tony and by his grandparents Lincoln and Mary Regensberg and Ralph and Sara Cordero.

Pallbearers will be his nephews and Marylou’s sons. A procession will immediately follow the funeral to Fairview Memorial Park at 700 Yale SE where Ryan will be placed in eternal rest.

Ryan’s wry humor, keen intellect, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Godspeed, Ryan. We love you.
