Garcia, Richard 

Age 92, went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2022. Richard was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM on March 20, 1930 and proudly lived in Duranes all his life.  He met the love of his life Margaret and were married for 69 years. He was an amazing and loving dad. He worked for USPS for 44 years. He was an remarkable carpenter and  a jack of all trades. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and helping others. He served the church in many capacities from setting up the altar for daily mass, working the San Felipe fiestas for many years and serving on the bereavement committee. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; sons, Michael and Anthony; parents, Bernadino and Anita.

He is survived by his children, Bernadette Garcia-Hernandez (Manuel), Francesca Estrada (Michael Lopez), Elizabeth Baldonado (Tony), Juliana LeTourneau (Steve), Vincent E. Garcia (Irma); 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 am with a Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 am at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Ron Estrada, Anthony Baldonado, Mario Baldonado, Daniel LeTourneau, Vincent Garcia Jr. and Phillip Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Angelica Tornakian, Michaela McDonald, Anakristina Hernandez, Ariana Hernandez and Stephany LeTourneau.
