Ramon Lujan Quintana

Ramon Lujan Quintana, affectionately known as Ray, peacefully passed away on September 14, 2023, in Bernalillo. Born on February 14, 1942, and raised in Bernalillo, he was the beloved son of Guadalupe and Maria Quintana.

Preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Maria Quintana; siblings, John Quintana, Carmen Lucero, Henry Quintana and Joe Quintana.

Ray attended and graduated from Bernalillo High School, he then proudly joined and served in the US Army from 1966-1972, fighting in Vietnam and being stationed all over the world. After he decided to leave the military, Ray then served as a mail handler for 20 years, Ray then became a bus driver assistant for the special needs children for 6 years.

Ray was such an honest, loving and funny brother, uncle, grandpa and friend. He loved his doggies Taz and Harley. Ray was also a very opinionated man and would give it with much love. Until we meet again, Bueno Bye!

A Rosary will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124) followed by a Mass at 1:30 PM and a Reception at 2:00 PM in the hall behind the church.
