Padilla, Phyllis

Age 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Phyllis was born and raised in Albuquerque. She graduated from Rio Grande High School where she met her future husband, Melchor. She then married her love Melchor Padilla and they raised their family in Albuquerque. Phyllis worked for Levi Straus for a short time then stayed home to care for her family. She loved going to the casino, fishing and cooking for her family. She also loved tending to her garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Phyllis was especially devoted to God. Phyllis was loved by family and friends and will be missed greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Flavio and Josephine Martinez; brothers, Gilbert Martinez, George Martinez; grandchild, Isaiah.

She is survived by her husband, Melchor Padilla; children, Jerry Padilla and wife, Bernadette, JoAnne Caldwell and husband, Andy, Joyce Gallegos and husband, Geno; grandchildren, Angel and significant other, Taylor, Michael, Sabrina, Desiree, Santana, Venessa and significant other, Lui, Erika, Christina and husband, Mario, Brianna and significant other, Avdiel; great grandchildren, Lilianna, Mateo, Averie, Mario, Phoenix, Zander and Zoren.

A Celebration of Life will be announced.
