Serna, Orlando James
Orlando James Serna (26) came joyfully into this world on November 18, 1995. He left to be with our Lord on July 24, 2022. Orlando was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and soldier. He is survived by his parents, Marian and Lawrence Serna; brothers, Andrew Serna and Nathan Serna; precious sister, Samantha Serna; nephew, Marcos Serna; niece, Savannah Serna; grandmother, Mary Reid and partner, Cara Roanhorse as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Savanah Serna; grandparents, Lorenzo and Angie Serna; grandfather, Eugene Andrew Reid. He attended Valley High School and graduated from Arcadia High (Scottsdale, Arizona) in 2015 and continued his studies at University of New Mexico. Orlando was very proud to serve his country as a member of the United States Army Engineer Corps. Orlando was a gifted athlete, scholar, outdoorsman, snowboarder, and held a Commercial Driver’s License and was employed by Sunset Trucking Company. Orlando will be remembered for his love of his family, courage, kindness, a shy mischievous crooked smile, and his twinkling eyes. Rest in peace Orlando, you were loved every day of your life and will live in our hearts until we are all together again. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, 9:00 am - 9:30 am with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 am and a Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW.
