“Chuca” Mary Elizabeth Gomez, beloved and cherished by her family and friends, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2023. She was a kind-spirited woman who brought joy to everyone she encountered. “Chuca's” laughter was infectious, and her quick wit ensured that there was never a dull moment in her presence. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

“Chuca” was born on March 5, 1950, and grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to two primary careers: Healthcare tech work and housekeeping. “Chuca” took great pride in providing exceptional service and making a positive impact on those she worked with.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, “Chuca's” proudest achievements were centered around her family. She raised her children with care. Her dedication to them extended to the next generation as well; she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. “Chuca's” love formed the foundation of close-knit relationships that will continue to flourish as cherished memories are shared among those who knew her best.

“Chuca” had a zest for life that extended beyond her career and family commitments. One of her favorite pastimes was playing pool; it brought her immense joy and provided countless opportunities for friendly competition and laughter with loved ones. She found solace in, mastering its intricacies while creating lifelong memories with friends old and new. She also, had a knack for going to the casino to have some fun.

In times of celebration or sorrow, “Chuca” always found solace in her faith. The San Jose Parish in Albuquerque. It is fitting that a Prayer Service will be held on August 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Mass on August 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., both at San Jose Parish (2401 Broadway Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM, 87102). These services will honor her memory and allow loved ones to come together and find comfort in each other's presence.

“Chuca” is now reunited with her brother Joe Robles, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted family members: son Charles Cordova & wife Annette Cordova, daughter Yolanda Ramirez, son Kenneth Cordova & wife Josefina Cordova, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her sister Sadie Garcia, sister-in-law Lillie Robles, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a multitude of friends who were touched by her kindness.

During this difficult time of loss and mourning, may we find solace in the memories we shared with “Chuca” Mary Elizabeth Gomez. Her resilient spirit and genuine warmth will forever be etched in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. As we bid farewell to our beloved “Chuca,” let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and the lasting impact she made on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
