Dolores Romero, 82, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026

Dolores was a vibrant, energetic woman whose presence could light up any room. She was truly a social butterfly and always brought warmth, laughter, and conversation wherever she went. She loved going to bingo and cherished her beloved Melanie and Joshua (Itsy Bitsy), who brought her endless joy and Happiness.

Above all, Dolores loved her family deeply. She leaves behind her children: Lucille Barranca, Barbara Barranca, Robert Barranca, Jeanette Barranca, Victoria Guillen, and is reunited in peace with her beloved daughters, Eileen Barranca and Sarah Barranca, who preceded her in death.

Dolores is also survived by her brother, Trancito Anaya, along with 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her memory and carry her love forward.

Dolores will be remembered for her lively spirit, kind heart, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her love for life and family will never be forgotten.

A Rosary service will be held at Garcia’s Mortuary on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with viewing from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Church Mass will be held at San Jose Parish on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Dolores’ memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
