Ojeda, Juanita Corine

Juanita Corine Ojeda was born in Española, New Mexico to Josephine and Juan Bautista Gonzales on January 23, 1959. She was taken from us on September 5, 2022. She grew up in the small town of Pojoaque then moved to Albuquerque to pursue a higher education. She obtained a BA in Communications, BA in Education, and a Masters in Bilingual Education from UNM. She married Ricardo Ojeda on June 11, 1994 and together they had a blended family with four children, a son Ricardo and wife Perla; three daughters, Rosemary and husband Alejandro, Elizabeth and husband, Juan Carlos and Jessica; two sisters and four brothers. She was blessed with nine beloved grandchildren. She was a cherished and highly respected teacher at Longfellow, Barcelona and dedicated the last 22 years at Navajo Elementary. Her prior careers were in KABQ Radio and TV as a Univision news caster for 11 years. She was a devoted Catholic where her faith drove her to dedicate and contribute her versatile capabilities to the church. She played an active and influential role in the San Jose community for over 20 years.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 5:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 pm and a viewing from 6:00-7:00 pm at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE. A final viewing will be held from 10:00-10:30 am with a Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd SE.
