Age 65, passed away July 30, 2015. John was an outgoing person who had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Casimero (Casey) J. Bargas and Manuelita (Mela) Benavidez and son, Robert Saavedra.
John is survived by wife, Helen Bargas; children, Ermalinda LaFlair and husband, Paul, Mary Baca and husband, Anthony Lopez, Margaret Moya and husband, Auggie, Sara Saavedra and husband, Richard Garcia; brothers and sister, Lorraine Balderama and husband, Johnny, Alex Bargas and wife, Julia, Casey Bargas and wife, Frances, Orlando Bragas and wife, Sylvia; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a special grandson Da'marius Norton who John was raising and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Santuario de San Martin de Porres at 11:00 a.m., 8321 Camino San Martin SW. Interment Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Bargas, Paul LaFlair, Anthony Lopez, Richard Garcia, Casey Bargas, Orlando Bargas, honorary pallbearers will be, Da'marius Norton, Lewis Baca and Jimmy Sedillo.
