Heaven gained an Angel on Saturday, September 21, 2019 as Joee was called home to rest and to finally be at peace. For those that knew Joee she was a vibrant, loving firecracker whose beauty could light up a room. She was a fighter, a mother, a daughter and a beloved little sister. She knew how to make any situation funny and always had your back if you meant something to her. She loved unconditionally and did not have a judgmental bone in her body. She was very independent and never asked anyone for help. Joee was so prideful and she walked with her head held high just like her father who she looked up to. In her last weeks of living she became very ill and was admitted to a hospital where doctors fought very hard to save her life. Sadly, she passed but left this earth peacefully with family and friends by her side. Joee was loved by many and touched many people’s hearts. She will be looking over us all. Joee loved to write poetry, draw, color and enjoyed playing softball.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph D. Ruiz and uncle Michael Lucero.

Joee is survived by mother, Roseanna Ruiz; children, Santiago Ruiz Gonzalez and Mya Turietta; siblings, Jovani Ruiz and husband, Ray, Louisa Vigil and husband, James, Juliana Ruiz-Gonzalez and husband, Juan, Mary Ruiz and husband; nieces and nephews, Antonia, Analicia, Izek, Patience, Shay, Rose, Enzo, Ellie, Jade, Juls and grandmother, Mary Lucero.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 26, 2019, 6:00 pm, at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, Located on 8th Street and Iron, followed by a Prayer service at 7:00 pm. To view information or leave a condolence please visit www.garciamortuary.com
