Jessica Tafoya, a devoted mother, grandmother, faithful believer in Christ, departed on December 28, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on December 25, 1957, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Felipe and Juanita Tafoya. Jessica was the sixth child among her thirteen siblings.

Jessica lived a life filled with hard work and dedication. She approached every task with determination and perseverance. Her strong work ethic commitment to excellence were evident in everything she did. Whether it was caring for her family or pursuing her own passions, Jessica gave her all.

A true family woman, Jessica adored her loved ones deeply. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. She cherished every moment with them and showered them with unconditional love. She played an active role in their lives and provided guidance and support whenever needed.

In her free time, Jessica found joy in two simple pleasures: visiting the casino and shopping for her beloved grandchildren. These were moments of relaxation and happiness for her. One could often find her sipping on a refreshing Pepsi as she enjoyed these activities.

Jessica had a remarkable sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. Her laughter was contagious, bringing joy to anyone fortunate enough to be in her presence. She understood the power of laughter and used it as a tool to uplift others.

Her guiding light was the love she had for her family. Jessica led them with unwavering devotion and embraced the role of being their source of strength and support. Through thick and thin, she stood by their side, offering encouragement during life's challenges.

Jessica's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her. She is survived by her loving daughters Maggie Tafoya; Jeanette Lucero; Charlene Lucero; Wesley Maxwell; grandchildren Isaiah Wilson; DeShawn Lucero; Makayla Wilson; Antonyo Colbert; Laila Lamb; Wesley Maxwell Jr.; and Maliyah Colbert. Her love for them knew no bounds, and they will hold her in their hearts forever.

She is also survived by her siblings Teresa Tafoya, Martha Tafoya, Susie Tafoya, and Albert Tafoya. As a close-knit family, they share special memories that will be cherished forever.

Jessica Tafoya's life was one that touched the lives of many. Her unwavering faith, strong work ethic, and boundless love served as an inspiration to everyone she encountered. While her passing leaves a void in our hearts, we find solace in knowing that she has left behind a lasting legacy of love and devotion.
