Age 90, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born in Belen, NM on November 14, 1927, to Gorgonio Garcia and Tillie Chavez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ecumenio Vigil and many brothers and sisters.
Irene is survived by siblings, Dora Gonzales, Josie Saiz, Sunny Chavez; niece, Cynthia Gonzales; grandson, Connor Reece and her dog, Princess.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-9:30 am on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Belen, 101-A Tenth Street, Belen with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 am and a Mass to follow at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Belen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Connor Reece, Johnny Marquez, Joseph Garcia, Randy Chavez, Pete Bustamante, Lawrence Chavez and Gerald Olona.
