Irene Montgomery

Irene Montgomery, a beloved soul, peacefully left this world in the early morning hours of November 29, 2025. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, whose spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

Irene was preceded in death by her loving parents, Tom and Luggie Montano, and her dear sisters, Frances and Marilyn. Her memory is lovingly preserved by her devoted husband, Jim Montgomery, and their children, Louise and her husband Ray Holguin, and son James Montgomery. She also leaves behind two adoring grandsons, Jason and Jonah, who brought her immense joy.

Her family was her pride and joy, and she is remembered fondly by her brothers, David, along with his wife Vicki, Tommy and his wife Margaret, and Carlos, as well as her sister Linda Hines. Irene’s legacy also lives on through her numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry her love with them always.

A service to honor Irene's life will be held at Garcia Mortuary on Monday, December 8th. There will be a viewing at 12:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 1:00 PM, with cremation to follow. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together and share stories, memories, and laughter, just as Irene would’ve wanted.

Though she may no longer be with us, Irene Montgomery's warmth and love will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
