Frances Zamora Padilla

Frances Z. Padilla, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 27, 2025.

She was preceded in death by daughter Carmen Lou Padilla, mother, Carmelita Morales Zamora, father, Santiago Zamora, sisters, Cecilia Bachicha, Lala De La O, Christella Vallo, and brother, Eleno Zamora.

Frances is survived by 2 granddaughters Berlynn Sedillo (husband David), Dolly Bobbett (husband Stan), great grandchildren, Nichole Sedillo, Jeremy Lovato (wife Serena), Samantha Bobbett, Dylan Bobbett, and great-great grandchildren, Sam, Emilio, Luna, and Tobias, sisters, Candie Herrera and Josephine Padilla (husband JM) and many extended family members and friends.

Frances was born in Manzano, NM on March 06, 1930. She spent her early years in Manzano and Santa Fe. She attended high school in Mountainair, NM then moved to Albuquerque to seek employment where she married the love of her life Pete Padilla and gave birth to her beloved Carmen Lou.

Frances was devoted to her daughter whom she raised and to her family. She committed her life to “her Lord and Savior” after surviving and overcoming a serious accident which left her in a coma for several months. She read her bible daily, conducted prayer meetings in her home for the entire family and later in a group home.

Frances was extremely intelligent, a quick wit, a talented seamstress making clothing (especially for Goodwill dolls), quilts, tote bags, etc., for various organizations. The matriarch of the family Frances; with all her wisdom will be sorely missed by young and old alike. She was a strong Prayer Warrior for all of us!

Frances’s viewing will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 at 9:00 am, with a rosary at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am. Following mass, please join the family at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, followed by a reception to celebrate Frances’ life at Moose Albuquerque Family Center, 2121 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
