Emily S. Martinez
Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the age of 84, surrounded by family. She was born in, Albuquerque NM, to Euasbio and Emma Sanchez. Emily adored her family and loved spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Aragon; brother, Willie Sanchez and sister in law, Josephine Sanchez.
Emily is survived by her husband of 35 years, Johnny M. Martinez; children, Janice V. Martinez, Anthony G. Brown, Daniel R. Padilla, Manuelita P. Padilla (Lollie) and Jimmy Silva (who is like a son); siblings, Charlie E. Sanchez and wife, Dolores, Euasbio Sanchez Jr., Paul Sanchez and wife, Pat, Johnny Sanchez and wife, Sandra, Rosie Serna and Mary Lou Saavedra and husband, Felix; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitations will take place at Garcia Chapel, Sunday,December 11, 2016 from 5-7pm. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 8:30 am at Holy Family, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, a Mass of Christian burial will follow at 9:00am. Pallbearers will be, Fredrick Gallegos, Robert Martinez, DeAndre Aragon, Luis Padilla, David Manzano, Mario Gallegos. Honorary Bearers will be Antonio Lueras and Jimmy Silva.
