Cecilio “Ciso” Archuleta Sena peacefully passed on to his eternal life on February 3 2026. Born April 13 1934 in Sabinoso, NM to Catarino Sena and Natalia Archuleta. He was 91 years old. Cecilio served in the U.S. Army from 1957–1959 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He lived in California for 23 years to be closer to his mom and siblings and raised his family there. He worked as a farm laborer and equipment operator. He moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1982 to retire. He enjoyed fishing, Colorado Rockies baseball, gardening, visiting and entertaining family and friends, and listening to his grandson and nephew play guitar and sing for him.
Ciso made sure you were fed, had a place to sleep, made you laugh with a joke or story, and made you feel secure and protected when you were on his watch, always following, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catarino and Natalia Sena; brothers, Herman Sena, Saturnino Sena, and Colorado Sena; and granddaughter Barbara Arriola.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Petra Sena; sister, Maxine Reynosa; children, Carmen Arriola (Daniel), Pete Sena, Corina Sena, Dolores Sena, Elaine Sherman (Tim), and Cecilia Sena; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
