Martinez, Blanca Estela

Age 68, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was raised in Las Varas, Babicora, Chihuahua, Mexico. She then moved to Albuquerque, NM in the mid 70’s, where she and her husband raised their family. Blanca was a hard worker and a dedicated mother, wife and grandmother. She loved her family very much. Blanca enjoyed going out with family, visiting with family and making and sharing memories. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrudis Fuentes and Concepcion Caraveo; husband, Jose Ramon Martinez; many brothers and a sister.

Blanca is survived by her children, Jose Ramon Martinez Jr. and wife, Marithza, Lidia Martinez, Baldo Martinez and wife, Rebecca; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Jose Angel Fuentes, Ramon Fuentes, Servando Fuentes, Irma Fuentes, Raul Fuentes, Refugio Fuentes; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Ramon Martinez Jr., Baldo Martinez, Osbaldo Martinez, Elias Martinez, Sebastian Martinez and Servando Fuentes.
