He is preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Portillo; sister, Delia Portillo; brother, Patrick Portillo.
Bernie is survived by his mother, Elisa Portillo; son, Nicholas Herrera and Nicholas mother Cindy; siblings, Ramiro Portillo Jr., Manuel Portillo, Alex Portillo, John Portillo, Concha Portillo and husband, Alvaro, Jose Portillo and wife, Flor, Dolores Lykes and husband, Tony, Greg Portillo, Carlos Portillo and wife, Norma.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2019, 8:00 am - 8:30 am at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels , Located on 8th Street and Iron, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:15 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW and Mass to follow at 9:30.
