Abie was born in Torreon, NM to Mr. and Mrs. Alfredo and Magdalena Vigil on April 27, 1945, and got raised in the Barelas neighborhood of Albuquerque, NM.
Abie joined the US Army and proudly served for his country. After his service he went on to work for APS as an Iron Worker, a hard worker for many years and then retired just as he had retired from PNM and TVI. He was married to Lucipia and had Tommie Rose together, and a few years later he became a grandfather and even a great grandfather.
Abie was a loving and beloved father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed fixing things, taking care of his yard; he was member of Post 72 and was also part the team at Sacred Heart who brought the beam from the World Trade Center in NY to Albuquerque, NM.
Abie was very witty, flirtatious, funny and smart, his personality and jokes will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.
Abie is survived by his daughter, Tommie-Rose (Richard); his grandchildren, Michael Vigil, Antionette Rodriguez, and Anthony Rodriguez Jr; and his great grandchildren, Xavier, James, Alysa and Matthew, and his siblings, Iselia Romero, Mabel Reyes, Margaret Vigil, Annie Gutierrez, and Alfred Vigil.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alfredo and Magdalena Vigil, and siblings Rosendo Vigil and Inez Peralta.
